Headcorn is a vibrant village with a historical past and is situated on the A274 between Maidstone and Tenterden with many shops, public houses and restuarants situated in the High Street. It is surrounded by countryside offering superb walking and cycling and the local aerodrome for those who wish to go flying or parachuting.
Built by the Parish Council, the new £1.4m Village Hall has just had its first anniversary and is a thriving community hub providing a wide range of activities for all generations. It has two large halls, meeting rooms and the Parish Office where the local Police Community Support Officer is based.
Speeding is a key issue in this parish, so we kindly ask that if you live, visit or are just passing through that you "Slow Down" and observe the limits.
The "Activity House" Summer Playscheme is being run from Monday 28th July until Friday 15th August 2008, at Headcorn Primary School between 9.30am and 12.30pm for children of Primary School age who either live in the village or attend the school.
There will be lots of activities to do ranging from sports to arts and crafts, or it can be a place to come and chill out. New this year are taster sessions in table tennis, judo and tennis.
For more information or an application form please contact the Parish Clerk. Application forms are also available from the library or school office.
